MADISON, Wis. -- Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Chad Clifton and defensive back Atari Bigby both practiced on Wednesday and the team is hopeful they will be able to play on Sunday. For the Detroit Lions, quarterback Matthew Stafford practiced Wednesday, but was limited by his injured knee, so the Detroit Lions aren't sure who they'll start at quarterback against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.Regardless of who starts for the Lions, Packers coach Mike McCarthy is aware of the changes from 2008 to 2009."Offensively, I think Scott Linehan, (Detroit's offensive coordinator), does an excellent job," said McCarthy. "He definitely challenges you in your schemes and there's a lot of productivity so far on film from their offense."McCarthy said the biggest difference is the personnel, but he also credits coaching on both sides of the ball."Defensively I think they're very well coached, both with Jim and Gunther over there," McCarthy said. "You can see the principles that they've used in the past that they're utilizing in their defense. I think they're trying to create an attitude in the way they play. I think they're a much improved football team."blog comments powered by Disqus
