Updated: 11:01 am CDT October 12, 2009

Brett Favre turned 40 years old on Saturday. On Sunday, Favre did something he never has done before, leading a team to a 5-0 start.

Favre spoke to reporters about the 2009 Minnesota Vikings.

"This is the best team I've ever been on," said Favre.

Favre threw one touchdown against the winless St. Louis Rams, a 13-yard strike to Vikings tight end Visanthe Shiancoe. Favre finished 18-for-24, 232 yards, and one touchdown, and one interception.

"So, this is the first time in my career that I have started 5-0 and it means a lot to me," said Favre. "I am so proud of this team and how they have faced adversity and we will keep facing adversity through the season and it's not how you start it's how you finish. We know its important to start fast."

The Vikings are 5-0 for the first time in six years with the 38-10 victory.

The Vikings play host to the Baltimore Ravens at noon on Sunday. The game will be televised on WISC-TV.
