Cubs' Zambrano Exits With Stiff Back

(Sports Network) - Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Carlos Zambrano left Saturday's 9-8, 10-inning victory over the Marlins due to a stiff back.

Zambrano, who was placed on the disabled list earlier this year with a strained left hamstring, exited after three laborious innings on the hill.

The emotional righty was clearly frustrated after walking three batters in the first inning. He finished with a line of two runs allowed -- one earned -- on three hits and three walks.

The 28-year-old is 7-4 with a 3.35 earned-run average this season, his ninth with the Cubs.
