Utah's Korver To Have Knee Surgery

(Sports Network) - Utah Jazz forward Kyle Korver will have surgery on his left knee and will miss the start of the 2009-10 NBA season.

Korver will have the surgery performed by Dr. David Altcheck in New York City on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-7, 212-pound Creighton product averaged 9.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 78 games (two starts) last season for Utah. The six-year NBA veteran also made a team-high 103 three-point field goals last year.

In 465 career games (103 starts) with the 76ers and Jazz, Korver holds averages of 10.2 points and 3.1 rebounds. Utah acquired Korver from Philadelphia on December 29, 2007.
