Posted: 11:12 pm CDT May 26, 2009

(Sports Network) - Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun left Tuesday's 8-1 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals after being hit on the right wrist.

Braun was hit by an Adam Wainwright pitch in the third inning, and exited before the top of the fifth, replaced by Frank Catalanotto in left. However, the injury was deemed a contusion as X-rays were negative, and Braun will be re-evaluated Wednesday.

Braun entered the contest hitting .325 with eight homers and 31 runs batted in through 43 games this season.
