Bears Ink S Earl

(Sports Network) - The Chicago Bears signed safety Glenn Earl to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

Earl had appeared in 37 games for the Texans from 2004-06, compiling 186 tackles, three interceptions, two sacks and one forced fumble.

After spending the 2007 campaign on injured reserve, he was released by the Texans prior to the start of last season.
