Phoenix Suns center Shaquille O'Neal was ejected from Sunday's 104-86 victory over the Detroit Pistons in the second quarter following a flagrant foul.

O'Neal was whistled for a flagrant foul with 5:19 left in the quarter as Detroit's Rodney Stuckey went up for a layup and was thrown to the court chest-first by the 7-foot-1 big man.

The play was reviewed by the officials and the call was upheld, resulting in an automatic ejection.

The 36-year-old argued vehemently with the referees before leaving the court for the locker room. O'Neal said the foul was simply a result of "the laws of physics."

He had 12 points and two rebounds before leaving.
