All-City Swim Gets Under Way In Madison

1,500 Competitors Taking Part In Event

The tradition of the All-City Swim meet has grown, and it continued on Thursday at the West Side Swim Club, where more than 1,500 swimmers ages 4 to 19 competed.

In the boys' 13- to 14-year-old 100-meter breaststroke, Jesse O'Keefe, 13, from Hill Farms Swim Club, won with a time of 1:15.37.

On the girls' side, ages 15 to 19, Ridgewood's Danielle Ellingson set a West Side pool record with a time of 2:30.27.

Finally, in the boys' 15- to 19-year-old 100-meter breaststroke, Ridgewood's Michael Drives also set a new pool record, winning in 2:13.25.

The preliminaries will continue on Friday.
