Report: Favre's Charter Flight To Green Bay Canceled

Flight Was To Arrive Thursday Night

Updated: 10:13 pm CDT July 31,2008

Brett Favre had charted a private jet to fly to Green Bay on Thursday, but that flight never left Hattiesburg, Miss.

On Thursday afternoon, the NFL Network reported that Favre had charted a plane and was to be in Green Bay that night but ESPN.com, citing a report from The Press-Gazette in Green Bay, said the flight was delayed several times and eventually canceled.

Meanwhile, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is giving the Packers and Favre at least one more day to resolve their standoff before granting the quarterback his reinstatement.

In a statement, the league said, "The Packers and Brett Favre are continuing their discussions. The commissioner preferred to let those discussions continue rather than act on the reinstatement petition today."
