GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The widow of Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive end Reggie White said she understands what Brett Favre is going through.
TALKBACK: What Do You Think?White played for the Green Bay Packers from 1993 to 1998. He retired and then came back in 2000 to play one season for the Carolina Panthers.Sara White said her husband and Brett Favre were good friends and probably share an inability to let go of the game. She said playing with the Panthers helped her husband get it out of his system.But Sara White also said Reggie White's comeback was a disappointment."He didn't get what he thought he wanted. He didn't have those people from Green Bay. Really, what he missed was Green Bay," she said.Still, Sara White said Favre should go with his feelings and play if he feels able.
