UW-Madison's Anderson Selected In WNBA Draft

Jolene Anderson Named Big Ten Player Of Year

University of Wisconsin-Madison women's basketball star Jolene Anderson was selected in the WNBA draft Wednesday.

Anderson was picked 23rd in the second round by the Connecticut Sun. She is the first Badger women's basketball player to be drafted in six years.

Anderson was UW-Madison's first Big Ten Player of the Year when she was selected by the media this past season.

Anderson will begin WNBA training camp on April 29.

Tennessee's Candace Parker went No. 1 overall in Wednesday's draft.
