Favre Still Hasn't Filed Retirement Paperwork
Thompson Letting Favre Handle Matter

MILWAUKEE -- Brett Favre still hasn't turned in the papers making his retirement official.His agent, James "Bus" Cook, said he doesn't have any idea where Favre is in the process of filing the paperwork.But Packers general manager Ted Thompson said he had no concerns about the matter. He said he's letting Favre handle it at his own discretion.When Favre turns in the papers, the Packers will strike $11.4 million from their payroll and possibly lead the National Football League in available salary cap room.But Thompson said the team doesn't need the cap room now.
