Packers' Clifton Added To Pro Bowl

Not Clear If Favre Will Play

Green Bay Packers offensive tackle Chad Clifton has been added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster, but it's still not clear if his quarterback will be there with him.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said he doesn't know whether Brett Favre will play in the February 10th all-star game in Honolulu. McCarthy said he doesn't have an answer on the bigger decision Favre must make this offseason, either.

After a surprising 13-3 regular season that ended with a bitter loss to the New York Giants in Sunday's NFC Championship game, will Favre return to play next year?

McCarthy said Wednesday he spoke at length with Favre Tuesday before the three-time MVP headed home to Mississippi. McCarthy advised his quarterback to take a couple of weeks to take the emotion out of the decision, then decide what's best for his family.

McCarthy and Favre now plan to talk every seven to 10 days.
