Jailed Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick has agreed to set aside nearly $1 million for the care of the pit bulls seized from his alleged dogfighting operation, ESPN reported Thursday.Vick, who voluntarily entered jail on Nov. 19 -- ahead of his Dec. 10 sentencing on a federal dogfighting conspiracy charge -- will deposit $928,073 into an escrow account controlled by the law firm of Vick's attorney, Bill Martin, according to court documents obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.Last week the government asked U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson to issue a restraining order to essentially freeze the money to cover Vick's legal obligation to cover the costs of caring for the 54 dogs seized from the Surry County, Va., property previously owned by Vick.Vick faces up to five years in prison. The suspended NFL passer and his co-defendants allegedly operated a dogfighting operation known as Bad Newz Kennels on the Surry County property.Vick also faces state dogfighting charges. On Tuesday a judged scheduled him for an April 2 jury trial.
