Apolo Anton Ohno is prepared to turn his dancing shoes back into ice skates before the 2010 Vancouver Games. After winning Tuesday night's "Dancing With The Stars" finale, the five-time Olympic medalist announced Wednesday that he intends on competing in short track speed skating at the next Winter Olympics."It's in my back yard. I'm still young enough, my body is still very healthy and I'm still blessed to go out and perform well," the Seattle native said. "There's many, many people who would be disappointed if I did not go, along with myself."Ohno said he will spend time traveling between Los Angeles, Seattle and Salt Lake City -- where he says he has put a deposit down on a home -- while training for the Games. Ohno, who has previously labeled himself as one of the longest full-time residents at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., plans to relocate his main training base to Utah. The American -- recognizable from his signature soul patch and bandana -- claimed gold and silver at the 2002 Salt Lake Games and earned a gold and two bronzes at the 2006 Torino Games. His wants to add to his medal collection at the 2010 Vancouver Games, which will allow him to surpass speed skater Eric Heiden's mark of five Olympic medals. Heiden won all of his jewels -- all of them gold -- by sweeping the men's speed skating events at the 1980 Lake Placid Games."There's an opportunity for me to be the sole survivor," Ohno said with a laugh.Ohno, who turned 25 on Tuesday, took time off from short track after the 2006 Torino Games. He resumed training in January to prepare for March's world championships, where the American earned a gold and two bronze medals."When I get on the ice, I'm skating because I love it," Ohno said.
