The Ogakor alliance proved surprisingly tight once again, as 32-year-old personal trainer Alicia, a former Kucha tribe member, was voted out by a count of 5-4.

In a post-banishment interview, Alicia said, "I was expecting this. I knew I was seen as a threat." Alicia predicted her fate earlier in the episode, saying that she thought either she or 23-year-old student Nick would be the target.

In the same breath, she said that her fellow former Kucha member, 23-year-old footwear designer Elisabeth, was naïve in thinking that the tribe pariah, 30-year-old aspiring actress Jerri, would be ousted.

Elisabeth had been the main ex-Kucha member campaigning to get Jerri banished. After the ousting of 34-year-old Internet worker Jeff, she said that she came to the realization that she would need to be much more ruthless. In particular, Elisabeth sought to befriend 40-year-old nurse Tina, whose personal antipathy towards Jerri was well-known.

It was to no avail. Every former Ogakor member voted for Alicia, while every former Kucha member voted for Jerri. In casting her vote for the physically strong Alicia, Jerri said that the reason Alicia was targeted was that "she intimidates the women and she even intimidates the men."

Jerri Stirs It Up: The episode continually pointed toward Jerri being the next target. Throughout, she made enemies and inspired conspiratorial gossip.

Tensions mounted early, as Alicia and Elisabeth made rice while Jerri and Amber critiqued every step of the process. Later, when Amber and Jerri were gone, former Kucha members and former Ogakor members alike relaxed and shared their impression that Jerri and Amber were the main sources of tension in the consolidated Barramundi tribe.

After Jerri and Amber returned to camp to find a chilly reception awaiting them, they pulled 26-year-old auto designer Colby, an unofficial leader of the former Ogakor, aside. They expressed their concerns over the intentions of former Ogakorians Tina and 40-year-old chef Keith. Colby lied, assuring them that they were safe.

Reward Challenge: Jerri and Amber were pulled away from the tribe because Jerri won the reward challenge, and chose to share the prize of a large, expensive private meal with Amber.

The challenge involved tossing boomerangs. Each contestant had to stand in the middle of a large circle and throw a boomerang. The person whose boomerang landed closest to the center of the circle won.

Jerri's boomerang easily outpaced those of most of the other contestants. Amber was the last to throw, and her boomerang landed within inches of Jerri's.

Immunity Challenge: The immunity challenge was a life-size version of the familiar child's game "dots." A rectangular grid of stakes was set into the ground, and the contestants took turns connecting adjacent stakes with ropes. When a contestant was given three sides of a square, he or she could use his or her turn to complete the square, and then get the chance to go again. Once a contestant completed the square, he or she received one point.

The winner was Keith, whose 17 points beat out Tina's 16. Keith won with the help of Jerri, whose previous move set him up for a long run of points. It was Keith's second consecutive immunity challenge victory.
