MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager isn't changing her official explanation of a proposed constitutional amendment that would prohibit same-sex marriage, according to her office. A Republican challenger is threatening to sue to get it rewritten.Waukesha County District Attorney Paul Bucher said that the explanation of the referendum to be posted at all state polling places has "significant bias" and could persuade someone to vote against it.Bucher said that that unless he's able to find another way to change Lautenschlager's summary, he will ask a judge to issue an order.Lautenschlager does plan to revise her summary of another referendum on the November ballot concerning the death penalty. Her office said that the original language was based on incorrect information that it had been provided.
