Monday, former state administrator Georgia Thompson goes on trial for her involvement in the Adelman contract scandal. The trial will focus on ethics in government.

Thompson faces fraud charges for allegedly steering a travel contract to Adelman Travel.

Adelman's CEO donated $10,000 to Gov. Jim Doyle's re-election campaign, and another Adelman board member also donated $10,000.

Observers say the trial could shine a light on the role political connections can play for companies seeking state work.

Thompson faces 20 years in prison.
