Neumann Holds Town Hall Meeting In Madison
Questions Focus On Jobs, Health Care, State Spending

MADISON, Wis. -- Republican gubernatorial candidate Mark Neumann held a town hall meeting in Madison on Saturday.Most questions centered around jobs, health care and state government spending, he said.With a major interchange shut down in Milwaukee for the holiday weekend, Neumann said it's important to get all the facts first."Of course it concerns me," he said. "We have our interchange shut down in Milwaukee again. ... Of course it's a big problem, but I just want to make sure we have all the facts before we go and point fingers and cast blame."It was the 42nd town hall meeting Neumann has held.Meanwhile, Gov. Scott Walker spoke in Wauwatosa on Saturday about his plan to improve the Wisconsin education system.Walker wants to make sure every child can read prior to fourth grade.Democrat Tom Barrett has called Walker's education proposal a publicity stunt and said Walker has been indifferent to education throughout his political career.
