Doyle Says He Intends To Serve Rest Of His Term
Governor Rejects Rumors Of Federal Position

MAPLE BLUFF, Wis. -- Gov. Jim Doyle said he "fully expects" to finish out his current term in office which runs through the end of next year.Doyle's comments came in response to a question on Monday after he signed the next two-year state budget about whether he had been approached by President Barack Obama to take a federal appointment.Doyle said he has never asked or in any way sought a position from the Obama administration. Doyle campaigned heavily for Obama, who easily won Wisconsin in November.Doyle is in the middle of his second term and is expected to seek a third term next year, although he hasn't officially announced. He has been out raising money in anticipation of running next year.
