That's not counting some reports the group said it hadn't been able to obtain.The total topped the previous record of $16.6 million set in the 2004 legislative race.The group said legislative candidates and the leadership committees for each party in the Senate and Assembly spent $13.1 million, compared to the previous record of $10.2 million in 2006.
