Governor Urges Families To Sign Up For BadgerCare Plus

MILWAUKEE -- Gov. Jim Doyle said a new health insurance program for low-income families is far more popular than expected.

"We have said no child, no child should be without health care," Doyle said.

The governor was in Milwaukee Wednesday urging more families to sign up for BadgerCare Plus.

The state had hoped to enroll 26,000 people by June 2009, but nearly 72,000 have already signed up.
