Podcast: What Is It?
The latest buzz word in the Internet world is "podcast," and WISC-TV is proud to be on the forefront of this emerging technology.In short, podcasts are MP3 audio programs that are available to be downloaded onto your computer and transferred to an iPod or any portable media device that supports MP3s. It can also be played right on your computer.WISC-TV is one of the first TV stations in the country to offer podcasts.How Do I Get It?
Getting the daily podcast is surprisingly easy -- and free! Several free programs are available online that will allow you to download the daily MP3 feeds. In June, Apple released its latest version of iTunes (4.9) with in integrated podcast directory. iTunes is a free music player that can be used on both Windows and Apple machines.Here's a list of some popular podcast programs:- iTunes (recommended)
