William “B” J. Walsh, age 63, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Agrace Hospice in, Madison, WI.
Bill was born on September 30th, 1953 in Baraboo, WI, the son of the late Robert and Kathryn (Spellman) Walsh.
Bill grew up and attended school in Sauk Prairie, WI. He was employed by Alkar for 32 years and was supervising floor foreman. He was greatly respected and loved by his co-workers. He retired in January 2016.
Bill was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing and telling all the stories that go with it. He also was a great sports enthusiast. His beloved Badgers and Packers never disappointed him. There was never an “off” season when it came to sports. It was always “pre, post or during” the season. He was able to find a game on TV almost daily. Bill also loved to cook. Specifically grilling, preparing a great meal for his family and friends made him genuinely happy.
He never missed “church” on Sundays. You could find him there early , surrounded by friends with a big smile on his face.
Bill is survived by his son Daniel R. Walsh; brother, Thomas J Walsh (Colleen), sister, Joleen Gudel; nieces, Stefani (Tom) Miller and Andrea (Robb) Porubsky; nephew, Trevor Uselmann and nieces Alyssa and Sierra Gudel, along with many great-nieces and nephews.
Bill is also survived by SO MANY friends close enough to call them extended family. These people meant the world to him. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Kathryn (Spellman) Walsh and brother Brian R. Walsh.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, October 14th at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City. Visitation will be from 11-1:00 pm with the service immediately following.
