Wava Colleen Miller, 84, of Mineral Point, formerly of Richland Center, died Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Sienna Crest in Mineral Point.

She was born April 1, 1929, in Sand Prairie, Richland County, the daughter of Ervie and Beulah (Dobbs) McDowell. Wava graduated from Blue River High School. On December 18, 1965, she married Reginald J Miller at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. Wava and Reginald worked together at EZ Trail where Wava served as the bookkeeper. Wava loved to dance and listen to the Bootleg Band.

Wava is survived by two daughters: Patricia (Ray) Wesley of Monroe, Mary Jo (Tom) Chappell of Dodgeville; two step-daughters: Linda (Bill) Butteris of Lone Rock, Sandra (Jerry) Collins of McFarland; four grandchildren; Jodi Wesley of Arizona, Brian Wesley of Madison, Corey Brindley of Waunakee, Ben Brindley of Fitchburg, three great-grandchildren; Tovan, Marcus, and Little Ben, two step-grandchildren; Kim and Sherri; several step-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Wava was preceded in death by her parents, husband Reginald, and son Larry Welsh, two sisters Wanda McDowell and Wanita Studnicka , brother Keith McDowell, and step-grandson Ken.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the Richland Center Cemetery with Pastor Craig Peach officiating.
