Thomas Bambrough, age 71, of Madison, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014, at Agrace HospiceCare. Thomas was born on Jan. 17, 1943, in Madison, the son of James and Dorothy (Jordan) Bambrough. He married Mary Jo Jerdee on Feb. 3, 1968, in Madison. Thomas graduated from Edgewood High School and then worked at Dairy Equipment and UW-Madison as a custodian. He was an electronic guru whose hobbies were polishing rocks and keeping current with his electronics. Thomas was quite a jokester and if asked how he was feeling, he would respond, “with my hands”. Thomas and Mary Jo enjoyed traveling cross country on their motorcycle. He was a loving father and husband and adored his grandkids.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Jo; a son, Todd Bambrough; a daughter, Tammy Jo (Justin) Brady; his dad, James L. Bambrough; and grandkids, Austin Bambrough, Kayla and Brandon Negreterios.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy; and friend, Jimmy.
Funeral Services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014, with Father Timothy Jones LC presiding. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
