Susan “Sue” Hewitt (Larson), age (always 49), on Sunday, March 30, 2014 surrounded by her daughters Paula and Brigette, dad came down and took mom’s hand and lead her to heaven.
Susan was born on August 19, 1940 in Columbus to Waldo and Alma (Hutchings) Larson. She was a 1959 graduate from Columbus High School. Sue was married to James Hewitt on March 29, 1963 in Madison. In 1967 she graduated from Columbia County Normal Teachers College in Columbus. She had many joys in her life including her family, doing genealogy, traveling and encouraging all those she knew to follow their dreams, as was her biggest dream of opening Larson House. A place for those who entered to be loved. Sue was a member of the D.A.R.
Survivors include her daughters and grandchildren; a brother, Chris (Teasuk) Larson of Rancho Cordova, CA; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Rebecca in 1970; husband, Jim in 2005.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M., with visitation beginning at 9:00 A.M., on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, Columbus. Rev. Robert V. Moberg will officiate. Interment will be in Okeeg Cemetery, Danville.
