MUSCODA -

Sharon Kay Tainter, 68, of Muscoda, died Friday, August 23, 2013, at Select Specialty in Madison.

She was born July 29, 1945, in Muscoda, the daughter of Ray and Betty (Barrett) Kolman. On June 21, 1975, Sharon married Dean Tainter at the Blue River Valley Church. Sharon earned a Masters Degree in Music and went on to teach instrumental music in Boscobel and White Lake, WI. She enjoyed her cats and was a horse enthusiast. Sharon loved music, especially the Badger Band Concert and she and Dean were season ticket holders for Badger Football. She enjoyed every moment she was able to spend with her grandson Andre’.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Dean of Muscoda, two children: Raymond Tainter of Sun Prairie, Jason (Jeanette Frawley the daughter she never had) Tainter of Muscoda, grandson Andre of Muscoda, mother, Betty Rasmusson of Muscoda, step-mother Dee Kolman of Richland Center, sister, Karen (Cliff) Schneider of Muscoda, two brothers, Jerry (Mareeta) Kolman of Muscoda, Joe Kolman of Muscoda, step sisters, Diane Rasmusson of Madison, Deb Smith of Stoughton, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father Ray Kolman, two grandsons Devan and Joseph Tainter, father in law, Delmar ‘Pete’ Rasmusson and mother-in-law Margaret Tainter.

A private family graveside will be held at the Blue River Valley Cemetery at a later date. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements. Online condolences can be made at prattfuneralservice.com.
