Sandra K. Gilmore, age 68, of Sun Prairie, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013.

She was born on Sept. 15, 1945, to William and Lorraine (Hett) Ashard. Sandy graduated from Madison East High School, and married Glendon Gilmore on October 22, 1966.

She was a member of City Church for over 30 years, and was a great prayer warrior who offered spiritual guidance to all.

She was a fun and faithful Grandma and Aunt. Sandy was the loudest cheerleader at ball games for her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She and Glen enjoyed many trips with their Harley trike, and Sandy loved taking people for rides.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Tina (Kevin) Rose; daughter-in-law, Mary Gilmore; grandchildren, Monique, LaVelt, Isaiah, Tanisha, Ruby, Kristiana, and Keyana; four great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Sue (Charlie) Miller; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glendon; her parents; son, Christopher; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna (Ted) Gerry, Sharon Benson and Nancy (Ozzie) Dolsey.

Funeral services will be held at CITY CHURCH, 4909 E. Buckeye Rd., Madison, at Noon on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, with Pastor Andrew Henderson presiding. Burial will follow the service at Highland Memory Gardens, with a luncheon following the burial.

Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, and at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday.
