Ruth Ann LeMahieu

MADISON-Our loving mother, Ruth Ann LeMahieu, age 78, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at her home.

She was born on Feb. 1, 1935, on the family farm in the town of Richfield, the daughter of Frank and Irma (Berklin) Green. Ruth was married to Gary Robert LeMahieu and they had seven children together. She retired from Goodyear Tire Company in Sun Prairie. Ruth loved her pets, Jordy and Babe, her flower gardens and spending time with her family. She was the ultimate Packers fan! The most important things to Ruth were her children and grandchildren. Our mom always put her family first. She was kind-hearted, had a great sense of humor and strong values. She was our hero.

Ruth is survived by her children, Cindy (David) Friske, Bob (Ginny) LeMahieu, Lori LeMahieu and friend, Fritz, and Lisa (Chris) Brown; grandchildren, William (Nickie), Matthew, Samantha, Michael, Douglas, Jessie, Jenna, Samuel, Thomas, Callie (Andrew), and Tyler; and great-grandchildren, Avery and Kyla; brothers, Robert (Bethel) Green of Plymouth and Frank (Darlene) Green of New Mexico; special friend Tethel and many nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her children, Douglas, William, and Susie; parents; and brothers, Donnie, Dick, and Chuckie Green.

Funeral services for Ruth will be held at HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2670 Milwaukee St., Madison, at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, with the Rev. Mark Bartels presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. as well as Friday, Nov.8, 2013 at church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Memorials may be directed to Agrace HospiceCare or Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

The family wishes to extend special gratitude to Ruth's grandson, Matthew, for helping to make possible her final wishes. Ruth's family would also like to thank Kate from Agrace HospiceCare and Dr. Santana.
