Ruth Adele Winden, age 94 of Mount Horeb, formerly of Blanchardville, died on Monday morning, December 2, 2013 at the Ingleside Nursing Home in Mount Horeb.

Ruth and Lloyd farmed together for three years in Greenwood, WI, then 5 years in Daleyville, WI, and then spent the remainder of their farming years on Sawmill Road, York Township in rural Blanchardville. Ruth was an active and supportive wife and mother, working alongside her husband and family on the farm. She was very musical, played the piano, and in later years loved hearing her grandchildren perform music. She loved cooking and feeding family and friends. She also enjoyed painting. Her first priority was being a mom and a grandma – always loving and giving. She loved the Lord and raised her children all in the faith. She was actively involved at the Adams Lutheran Church in the Sunday School, church women’s group, and multiple committees through the years. In recent years she was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mount Horeb.
