Madison – Rosemary M. Heus, age 87, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Brookdale Middleton Century Avenue.

Rosemary was born on January 21, 1929 in Kaukauna WI the daughter of John P. and Mary (Haas) Euhl. She moved to Sheboygan at age 9. She graduated from Sheboygan Central High School. On August 23, 1947 she was united in marriage to Harland W. Heus who preceded her in death in 2014.

Rosemary found great joy in cooking for crowds of family and friends. She was a talented seamstress sewing anything from Barbie Doll clothes to wedding dresses. Rosemary shared her artistic gifts in many forms. Caring for others was Rosemary's life-long passion, from her children, foster children, grandchildren, and in later years her sisters and husband. She dedicated her time and talents to many organizations supporting the special needs of her daughter Michelle. Rosemary leaves behind a legacy of a large family.

She is survived by a sister, Helen Fuchs of Sheboygan, her children, Nancy (Ray) Mowrey of New Milford CT, Wayne (Cindy) Heus of Scottsdale AZ, Mary (Larry) Reinen of Tyrone GA, Jan (Steve) Frei of Madison, and Michelle of Madison; 12 grandchildren, Tina (Jennifer) Mowrey Lott of Texas, Craig (Amy) Mowrey of Connecticut, Brian (Becca) Mowrey of Connecticut, Mandi (Justin) McBride of Indiana, Wendi (Darryl) Smith of Indiana, Lyndi Heus of Washington DC, Scot (Stacy) Reinen of Georgia, Cory (Holly) Reinen of Missouri, Kiley (Brad) Stamps of Georgia, Seth (Brynn) Frei of Texas, Ross (Carly) Frei of Iowa, Ian Frei of Madison; 18 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews and other special relatives. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her siblings Larry, Bob, Alice, Lillian and Carol.

A Memorial service to celebrate Rosemary's life will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Avenue, Middleton at 11:00 am on Friday December 2, 2016 with the Reverend Craig Mowrey presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10 am until the time of the service.
