Roger Rardin, age 71 of Lake Delton, Wisconsin died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at St. Clare Hospital of Baraboo, Wisconsin.
Memorial funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 4:00 P.M. at the Picha Funeral Home in Lake Delton with Pastor Jay Heesch officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m.
Roger was born November 11, 1942 in Evanston, Illinois the son of Walter and Mary (Bebb) Rardin. He graduated from UW Madison in 1965 with a bachelor degree in political science. He then served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 and was honorably discharged in 1970. In April of 1983 he married Jane Seymour in Madison. For many years Roger was an investment consultant. He enjoyed golfing, reading everything he could, was gifted in dealing with people, had a great sense of humor and was a huge fan of the Wisconsin Badgers and Chicago Bears.
Roger is survived by his wife, Jane; a son, Jason (David Wackman) Rardin of New York, New York; a daughter, Stephanie Rardin-Wegman of Ft. Myers, Florida; granddaughters, Danielle and Alexa Wegman both of DeForest, Wisconsin; his mother, Mary Sunderland of Carmel, California; sisters, Marilyn (Joe Clark) Rardin-Kafka of Palatine, Illinois and Susan (Frank) Liedtke of Barrington, Illinois; a niece, Stacy Kafka (Daris Hocheender) of La Mesa, California and a nephew, Doug (Helen) Kafka of Hoffman Estates, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father and granddaughter, Briana Wegman.
