Roger Hrdlicka, 77 of rural Wisconsin Dells passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 at his home with his family at his side.
Roger was born on April 21, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Frank and Helen Hrdlicka. Roger was united in marriage to Janet Day on July 5, 1959. Roger was a loving and dedicated husband. Roger was talented in stained glass, woodworking and rehabbing several homes side by side with his wife. He also enjoyed DIY Programs and “All in the Family” with Archie Bunker on television. Roger was a professional truck driver by trade. Everyone that has known Roger knows that he was one of a kind man, ready and willing to help anyone in a moment’s notice. He would give the shirt off his back-and more.
Roger leaves to mourn his loving memory his children David Hrdlicka, Kathy Day, and Bob Hrdlicka; five grandchildren Jeffrey Ferguson, Sarah Day Calcagno, Tyler Erickson, Ashlee Hrdlicka and Colin LaCoste and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. To know him was to love him. He had a positive impact on many. He will be remembered for the outstanding man that he was, and be terribly missed.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Crandall Funeral Home, Mauston where friends may call from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until time of service.
Burial will be at the Mauston Cemetery with military honors.
