MADISON-Robert H. Quam, age 69, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at Agrace HospiceCare.
He was born on Jan. 6, 1945 in Rice Lake, the son of Henry and Margaret (Prosser) Quam. In Robert’s younger life, he lived on a farm in Barron with family. He moved to Madison in 1990, where his family and Rem Wisconsin assisted him with his life. Robert had various jobs with help from ICW. He lived an active life, enjoying life and people, and never complained even with his physical disabilities. Robert was always positive and a joy to know. He loved art and especially enjoyed his time with Very Special Arts of Wisconsin (VSA). In April, Robert moved to Sunnyhill Nursing Home in Madison, his second special home.
He is survived by his sister, Olivia (Duane) Larsen; nieces, Emily Larsen and Mary (Roy) Simmons; cousins, Roy IV (Margaret Swartz) Simmons and Jenelle (Jordan) Powers; special friend, Betty; and extended family.
A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014.
