Robert "Bob" Koscal, age 76 of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin died Monday, April 29, 2013 at Meriter Park Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lyndon Station with Father Valentine Joseph celebrating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery right over the hill from his residence. Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station on Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. and on Saturday from 9 to 11:15 A.M. and then process to the church.
Bob was born November 15, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Clemens and Anna (Hudak) Koscal. He grew up with his aunt and uncle, Frank and Thelma Koscal in Nebraska and at a young age moved to the Lyndon Station area. He attended schools in Mauston, Wisconsin and later graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School in 1956. He met and eventually married Joan Phillips in October of 1957 in Mauston. Bob served an electrical apprenticeship in Milwaukee for the Milwaukee Road railroad. He returned to Juneau County in 1965 and began his 41 ½ year career driving truck for the Juneau County Highway Department and retired in 2007. After this he stayed busy working on his home farm.
Bob is survived by his wife, Joan; sons, Anthony of Lyndon Station, Timothy of Sheboygan, Wisconsin and Thomas of New York City; daughters, Theresa (James) Robinson of Apache Junction, Arizona, Christina (Dr. Chasby Sacks) Koscal of Phoenix, Arizona and Angela Koscal of Chicago; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and a countless number of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
