Dodgeville - Patricia Joyce Grimm, age 78, of Dodgeville, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in Upland Hills Nursing and Rehab Center in Dodgeville, WI, surrounded by her loving family

She was born in Dodgeville, WI on May 29, 1935 to Margaret (Ryan) and Elmer Olson. She was their devoted daughter and caregiver until they passed away. This taught her children how to care for others and that her family was the most important thing in the world.

Pat graduated from Ridgeway High School where she met her husband, Robert Johnsrud. They married in July, 1952 at Ridgeway Methodist Church. Shortly before their 5th child was born, Robert died in a tragic car crash in June of 1958.

In 1960, Pat married Fritz Grimm at St. Joseph’s Parish and that union produced 4 more children. They enjoyed camping, garage sales, decorating and anything that involved their family.

She was a beautiful, classy lady and will be deeply missed by her nine loving children and spouses: Roberta and Terry Chappell of Mt. Horeb, Becky and Michael Borne, Margie Johnsrud, John and Lisa Johnsrud, Mary and Dave Murn all of Dodgeville, Jim and Kathy Grimm of Oshkosh, Julie and Steve Jewell of Dodgeville, Tony and Helen Grimm of Lake City, MN, and Lisa and James LeBouef of Waupaca, WI, 26 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren with three more on the way; her brother Bob (Katie) Olson of Ridgeway and Audrey Spears of Fond du Lac, WI. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends and faithful dog, Milo.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert Johnsrud in 1958, her husband Fritz Grimm in 1996, brother-in-law Darrel Spears and great-granddaughter, Ruby in 2012.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at ST. JOSEPH’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Dodgeville. Father Patrick Wendler will officiate. Burial will be held in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville.
