Otis D. Williams, age 79 of La Farge, died on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Bethel Home in Viroqua. He was born January 1, 1934 the son of Earl and Winifred (Potts) Williams. Otis proudly served in the United States Army and served time in Missouri and in Panama. Otis was united in marriage with Darlene Hamilton on August 10, 1958 and she preceded him in death April 7, 2012. Otis always had a story and many contacts were made through his sales and musical careers. He sold feed more than 30 years and later car sales 20 years or more. Otis was most ‘famous’ for his music. He played with many local groups and opened for some celebrities. He recently completed his autobiography while a resident at Bethel Home.

Many nieces, nephews and cousins In addition to his wife, Otis was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters: Helen Russell and Dorothy Wagner; and two brothers: Woodrow and Bud Williams.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the LA FARGE FREE METHODIST CHURCH. Burial will be in the Bear Creek Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM. The Seland Huston Funeral Home is serving the Williams family.
