MONONA-Norvan Pollock, age 84, of Monona, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11, 2013.

He was born on March 16, 1929, at Meyer’s Farm in Grant County, the son of Archie and Geneva (Wood) Pollock. Norvan married Virginia T. Dolten on Sept. 26, 1953, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Madison. He graduated from East High School in 1948, and later Madison Business College. Norvan was a Korean War Veteran. He owned Accurate Bookkeeping Service which he operated out of his home. Norvan was very devoted to his work.

He is survived by his brothers, Kenneth (Judy) Pollock, Rolland (Judy) Pollock, and Floyd (JoAnn) Pollock; sisters, Evelyn Heckelsmiller, Lois (Gordon) Krueger, and Cheryl (Jim) Starker; brother-in-law, Dennis Hron; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; and sister, Charlotte Hron.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013, with Father Bart Timmerman presiding. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday.
