Nicholas Alexander Lawson, 17, of Richland Center, died Friday, June 13, 2014. Nicholas was going into his senior year at the Richland Center High School.

He loved to listen to country music, especially Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, and Johnny Cash. His mother took him to see Kenny Rogers at Star Spangled Celebration. His dad would take him to Brewers games occasionally. This remarkable young man, although severely handicapped at eight months old, had a smile that would light up a room. Unable to move any of his limbs, he could move his head to communicate by doing things like playing piano. At school, his teacher would often let him watch ‘The Price is Right.’ His favorite movie was ‘Walk the Line.’

Nicholas is survived by his father Garnett ‘Murphy’ Lawson, mother Candace McGrath, brother Chrystopher Lawson, sister Haley Durst, brother Hunter Dray, grandfather William Richardson III, grandmother Donna Rockweiler, other relatives, and friends.
