STOUGHTON-Nancy A. Zangl, age 49, of Stoughton, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was born on Aug. 26, 1964, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Donald and Janice (Swenson) Klein. Nancy graduated from Lomira High School in 1982. She attended and graduated from UW-Madison with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Nancy was united in marriage to Michael Zangl in 1986 in Lomira. She went to work at Stoughton Hospital, working her way up to Nursing Supervisor.
Nancy loved to be outside, traveling up North to camp, being on the water, snowmobiling, and being in nature. She not only was a dedicated nurse, but a loving wife and mother, and especially loved being with her family, and her friend and companion, her beloved dog, Nitro.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Mike; sons, Mitchell J. Zangl and Matthew D. Zangl, both of Stoughton; mother and step-father, Janice (Roger) Clapp; siblings, Kathy (Mark) Lavarda, John (Kerry) Klein, Kim (Erik) Tonnessen; and other relatives and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Klein; and mother and father-in-law, Jerome A. and Phyllis M. Zangl.
A Celebration of Life will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, 1358 Hwy. 51, Stoughton, at Noon on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, with the Rev. Roger Clapp officiating. Following the service, lunch will be served at VFW Post 328, 200 Veterans Rd., Stoughton. Private interment will be at a later date. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
