MADISON –Michael MacDonald, age 54, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013 at Agrace HospiceCare.
He was born on Nov. 13, 1958, in Madison, the son of Clark Clary and Harriet (Edie) MacDonald. Michael married Sharon Hall on March 29, 1980. He graduated from East High School in 1976 and began working at Brat ‘N Brau. He started his career with Central Wisconsin Center working for 28 years, retiring in 2008.
He loved football, especially the Packers, baseball, and was known as the “King of Cribbage”. Michael enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis Presley and the Beatles, and enjoyed communicating with friends on the computer. He loved animals and spending time with friends and family. But the biggest love of his life was his wife, Sharon.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; canine companions, Kira and Rascall; a sister, Ruth (Al) Fiege; nephew, Jason (Kristy) Fiege; brothers-in-law, Brian Hall and Alan (Cindy) Hall; and sisters-in-law, Susan Hansen, Marilyn (Ron) Ary, Carolyn (John) Adametz and Jacquelyn Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; Joey MacDonald; Aunt Laura Gassen; and Albert and Bev Hall.
Funeral services will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, with Father Michael Radowicz presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dane County Humane Society.
