Maxine Margaret Hoover Brewer, 82, of Richland Center died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at the Richland Hospital. She was born November 14, 1930 in Dayton Township the daughter of Ivan H. and Margaret Adella (Harlan) Hoover. Maxine met Albert Brewer while Albert was working at Maxine’s father’s garage. Maxine and Albert were united in marriage on October 7, 1950 in Richland Center. The couple farmed for many years in Buck Creek and Ithaca. The family moved to Muscoda where Maxine worked at the Boscobel State Bank, Muscoda Station. In 1972 the family moved to Richland Center. Maxine took night classes to earn her GED, which she was very proud of. In 1988 Albert preceded Maxine in death. Maxine was very active in the Apostolic Faith Church, singing in the church’s choir. She enjoyed traveling with her family all around the United States. Maxine loved be a hostess for everyone she knew and enjoyed cooking and baking for them.

Maxine is survived by her children: Julie Randolph of Indiana, Jerry Alan Brewer of Arkansas, Diane Maxine (John) Case of Indiana, Doris (Terry) Turner of Ithaca; 13 grandchildren: Joy, Phillip, Melissa, Angie, Jamie, Matthias, Allegra, Jed, Eric, Rachel, Matthew, Michael, Joshua; several great-grandchildren: brothers and sister: Bette (Dwight) Kinnebrew of California, Jack (Ruth) Hoover of Oklahoma, Ruth Chapel of Oregon; brother-in-law: Rich Limas of California; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert, brothers, Paul and Earl Hoover, and sister, Fran Limas.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel with Pastor John Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Richland Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM and again on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at 10:30 AM.
