STOUGHTON-Mary McLimans, age 63, of Stoughton passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
She was born on Nov. 15, 1950, in Madison, the daughter of Carl and Aileen (Reinhold) McConley. Mary wed the love of her life, Willard (Bill) McLimans, on Sept. 26, 1970, in Monona. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. Mary was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and collecting diverse items such as wind chimes and teddy bears, and her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her grandchildren. She was a devoted daughter and an even more devoted mother, who really shined when her children needed her. Mary found great meaning in her work as a licensed practical nurse, especially when she could use her skill to help aging residents at nursing homes such as Skaalen Home in Stoughton.
Mary is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband, Willard; four children, Matthew (Elise) McLimans, Melissa (Greg Engle) McLimans, Elizabeth McLimans and Christina (Paul) Adkins; grandchildren, Caitlin, Lauren, Griffin, Jordan, Owen, Isaac and Lucas; brother, Peter (Jean) McConley; sister, Gerilyn (Ed) Glimme; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret Davis; and infant sister, Julie McConley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ANN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 323 N. Van Buren St., Stoughton, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, with Father Randy Budnar presiding. Burial will be at St. Ann Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the Mass on Tuesday. Following the burial there will be a luncheon at the VFW Post 328, 200 Veterans Rd., Stoughton.
