At the age of 90. Mary Jeanne was born in Elk Creek, Wisconsin on June 4,1923 To Leon and Mable (Sommers) Hunter. The family lived in Gillingham Wisconsin until Mary Jeanne was in the 4th grade then they moved to Viola Wisconsin. She attended Viola High School and was in the Marching Band and won many award pins for her solo's with the Snare Drum she graduated in 1941 .

In July of 1943 she had a son David Hunter who was her pride and joy. She lived in Richland Center for many years and worked for Richland Hospital. Around 1975 Mary Jeanne moved to Utah for several years there she obtained her LPN in Nursing and worked for St Marks Hospital. Mary Jeanne later moved back to Viola Wisconsin to care for her Mother and be close to her family. She worked at Pine Valley Nursing Home in Richland Center until her retirement.

Mary Jeanne is survived by her 3 Grandchildren Paula (Brent) Menlove of Salt Lake City, Utah, Lisa (Jerry) Lee of Boise, Idaho, Robert (Kelly Rae) Hunter of North Branch, Minnesota, 8 Great grandchildren Gregory, Derrick (Jenika), Jacob, Nicholas (Lauren), Jordan, Hunter, Seth, & Sadie. She is also survived by 2 sisters Phyllis Perry and Lorraine White 2 Sister-In-Laws, Mary Ann Hunter & Margaret Hunter and lots of nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her son David Hunter, her brothers Bill, Jack, Herb, and her parents Leon & Mable Hunter.

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful and caring staff at Vernon Manor and Vernon Memorial Hospital Dialysis Unit for taking such good care of Mary Jeanne over the last few years.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Viola United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Viola Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11.
