Marianne Kelley

MADISON- Marianne Kelley(Schueller), our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away on Monday July 1, 2013, after a courageous eleven year battle with breast cancer.

She was born on May 25, 1953, in Madison, the daughter of John and Mary Anne (Martig) Kelley.

Marianne worked for the City of Madison Parking Enforcement for over 30 years, and as a Little League and WIAA Umpire for 30 years. Her greatest moment as an umpire was in 2009 when she umpired the Little League World Series Regionals in Indiana. Marianne was always keeping busy. When she wasn't at the field umpiring and surrounding herself with the kids and parents at baseball games, she also enjoyed quilting, running on the treadmill, or going to the club to do some dancing. She will be remembered as a free spirit, who was a fighter and fought to the end.

She is survived by her children, Patrick Schueller, Troy (Kris) Schueller, Tina (Allen Cummings) Schueller, and Brad (Susan) Schueller; a step-son, Ryan (Josalynn) West; she cherished her seven grandkids, Roman, Noa, Garrett, Chloe, Hunter, McKenzie, and Jaxson; her sisters, Marcia (Steve) Demars, and Karla (Paul) Kasprzak; her brothers, Chris (Louann) Kelley, Jeff (Vicki) Kelley, and Tim (Rhonda) Kelley; two sisters-in-law, Diane Kelley and Diane Kelley; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, John Kelley and Paul Kelley.

The family extends a special thanks to Allen Cummings, Deb Foster, and Kay Kaltenberg for their care of their mother. And a special thanks to Cori and Cassie at Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care of Marianne.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday , July 6, 2013, at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., with Msgr. Charles Schluter presiding. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church on Saturday.
