Margot Borchette

Margot Borchette, age 89, passed into eternal life on Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at All Saints Assisted Living on Madison's west side and under the care of Saint Jude Hospice.

Friends had visited her that morning to pray with her and sing carols. Margot was born to Gustav and Elizabeth Wise Borchette on the Feast of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist in 1924. She and her sister Irene emigrated to the U.S. from Luxembourg after WWII. Margot never married. She loved her Catholic Faith and loved French literature. Margot attained a B.A. in French from Rosary College and undertook graduate studies at Case Western Reserve University and U.W. Madison. She worked as a teacher of French and later cared for patients at U.W. Hospital for many years as a nursing assistant.

She is survived in the U.S. by a niece, Rosemarie Pinkos and her husband Dan Corsolini of Carol Stream, Ill.; a nephew Daniel Pinkos of Carol Stream; and a niece Cynthia Richardson of Charleston, S.C.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Henry Borschette, Jeanny Wietor, Maisy Borchette, Irene Pinkos.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST.PAUL UNIVERSITY CATHOLIC CENTER, 723 State Street, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013.
