Lucille R. Gottschall

DODGEVILLE - Lucille R. Gottschall, age 89, of Dodgeville, formerly of Highland, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Upland Hills Nursing and Rehab, following a long illness.

Lucille was born on March 13, 1924, in Montfort to Anton and Anna (Foreman) Zoha and was a graduate of Montfort High School. She married Russell Gottschall of Highland on May 24, 1944, at Highland Presbyterian Church. The couple farmed for many years near Highland and Lucille also worked at Medical Care Facility and CrestRidge Assisted Living in Dodgeville for many years.

Russell preceded her in death on January 29, 2006. Lucille's hobbies included raising poultry and tending to her garden. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter-in-law, Jeanne Gottschall; two sisters, Bessie Harms and Esther Wepking; sisters-in-law, Elsie Zoha and Edith Gottschall and brothers-in-law, Lavain Harms; Ira Wepking; Herold Gottschall and Donald Gottschall.

Lucille is survived by nine children, Kathie Beane of Reston, VA; Keith (Judi) Gottschall of Blue Mounds; Randall (Alice) Gottschall of Piscataway, NJ; Brad (Millie) Gottschall of Walworth; Bob Gottschall of Taylors, SC; Evelyn (Keith) Baker of Buena Vista, CO; Brian (Vicki) Gottschall of Farmington, NM; Charlene (Kevin) O'Malley of Aberdeen, SD and Renee (Peter) Fistere of Northwood, NH; 23 grandchildren; six step grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Milo Zoha of Montfort; an aunt, Agnes Novotney; a sister-in-law, Vivian Gottschall as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at the Avoca Bible Church. Pastor Kevin O'Malley will officiate with burial in Highland Public Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 12, 2013, at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home, Dodgeville and at the church on Wednesday after 10:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated.
