DEERFIELD/STOUGHTON-Lois June (Baker) Klade of Deerfield, passed away Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at Skaalen Home in Stoughton.
She was born on June 5, 1935, in Madison, the daughter of Emma and Rudy Baker. She left her earthly home to go to her forever home, Heaven, to be with God, Jesus, and all her loved ones.
Lois grew up on Lake Waubesa and graduated from Oregon High School. She married Theodore J. "Ted" Klade Jr. in 1953 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison.
Lois June leaves behind her husband of over 60 years, Ted; beloved children, Karen Purtell and Timothy Klade; brother, John (Carol) Baker; sisters-in-law, Virginia Baker and Judi Baker; brothers-in-law, Ken Kuenzi and Pat Calabrese; numerous nieces and nephews; many dear friends inside and outside of Skaalen Home; and her beloved kitties. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Karen Kay; siblings, James, Bette, Beverly, Fred and Rodney; in-laws, Aletta Klade, Alice Askey, Lorian Ethun, Gerry Klade, David Charles Klade, Ray Hustad Sr., Ken Lavin, Ilse Meyers and Pearl Gillespie; and son-in-law, Joe Purtell.
For most of Lois June's life she was in the health care field. She truly loved working with the residents and staff at Skaalen Home for the past 30 years. Lois June was an avid auto racing fan, her favorite NASCAR drivers were Dale Earnhardt Sr., and Tony Stewart. She had a passion for Indy Car Racing, her favorites were Helio Castroneves and Ari Luyendyk. Lois June attended many sprint car races including the Knoxville Nationals many times. Her favorite Drivers included, Joey Saldana, Steve Kinser, Danny Lasoski and Donny Shatz. Her all-time favorite football player was Brett Favre and recently Russell Wilson. Lois June also liked baseball and her favorite players were Derek Jeter and Reggie Jackson. She loved nature and all God's creatures, especially cats, big and small.
Lois June loved the simple things in life, rainbows, sunsets and all of nature's wonders. She loved gazing at the moon with her father and family on a warm summer's eve, and she loved all music, especially Bluegrass and Country.
A funeral service will be held at SKAALEN NURSING AND REHAB, 400 N. Morris St., Stoughton, at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, with Pastor Jim Koza presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Hwy 51, Stoughton, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, and at Skaalen Home Chapel from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
At Mom's request she would love it if you dressed in your favorite sports apparel for the services, if you wish.
