Lester A. Hardy, 94, of Kenosha, died Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the Kenosha Hospital due to complications of hip surgery and other serious health conditions.

He was born November 18, 1918 the son of Oscar and Lora (Kite) Hardy. On January 21, 1942 Lester married Margaret Sletten and she preceded him in death on November 28, 2001, after 59 years of marriage. The couple farmed many years in Southwest Wisconsin before moving to Kenosha in 1959 when Lester started work at American Motors, retiring after 25 years. In 1984 they moved to Madison. Lester could not handle retirement so he started another career when he went to work for Leigh Builders. He truly enjoyed going to the construction job sites and being with the ‘guys’ at Leigh Builders. Lester was a very special person who always had a big heart and would try to help one in need. Papa thoroughly loved his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
